Job Summary:
We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and safety-conscious Fireworks Retail Tent Operator to manage the day-to-day operations of a seasonal fireworks location. As the face of our brand, you will oversee inventory, drive sales through excellent customer service, and ensure strict adherence to all local and state safety regulations. This is a high-energy role perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Customer Service: Greet customers, provide product demonstrations/explanations, and assist shoppers in selecting the best fireworks for their displays.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and organize shipments. Maintain a clean and well-stocked sales floor.
- Operational Safety: Enforce "No Smoking" zones and safety perimeters. Ensure all fire extinguishers are accessible and that the tent meets all local fire marshal codes.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions using a Point of Sale (POS) system, manage cash drawers, and perform daily reconciliations.
- Security: Maintain a constant presence at the tent to prevent theft and ensure the security of the product overnight (may include coordinating overnight security or staying on-site).
- Setup & Teardown: Assist in the physical setup of the tent, shelving, and signage before the season starts, and the complete pack-up of the site once the season ends.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age (to comply with state licensing and insurance requirements).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work long hours outdoors in summer heat and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical product details (e.g., "fountains vs. aerial shells") to customers.
- Reliability: Must have dependable transportation and the ability to work a demanding schedule, including weekends and the entire July 4th holiday.
- Background: Ability to pass a standard criminal background check
